I grew up in a suburb. This suburb is called Plano, and it’s outside of Dallas, TX. There, I made some great friendships that have lasted over the years including the friendship with this girl, here. You’ve probably seen photos of Stephanie Nordlund before on this blog or on my Instagram. I’ve known her since freshman year of high school, and our friendship has lasted since then! When I visited Plano a few weeks ago, I met up with Stephanie to catch up on each other’s lives. While I was at her apartment, we took the advantage to grab some photos of her in her home studio. Stephanie is an art teacher, and she also opened up her Etsy shop, S. Nordlund Studio where she sells her illustration work. She is so talented and an inspiration as she is navigating side hustle life and becoming into her own boss babe.
The light in her studio is AMAZING. It’s a beautiful and soft white light that was perfect for taking some of her brand portraits! Her studio includes a low work desk for creating, a taller standing desk to create digital artwork, and, of course, all the storage and organizers. A white board with tasks for her Etsy shop hangs on the wall. Photos line the wall closest to the door, and I see a photo of me and our mutual friend Alec.
We had a little guest that joined us for her photos. Stephanie got a kitten a few months ago and named him Ollivander Griffin Tonks, or Ollie. He is a little cutie, and it was so sweet to see Stephanie be mom to her fur baby.
PS. I also did her logo design, so check that out here!
