Jason G. | SEU Class of 2018

April, or what I like to call SEU Grad month in my photographer life. Returning to St. Edward’s to photograph graduates is always so much fun! Even though the campus and university has changed the past two years I was a senior, the mission and what is instilled in everyone student remains the same: a worldly view and the goal to impact the world by chasing our dreams.

The grad to kick off the month was Jason. Jason is a communications major whom hopes to have a career in event planning. When you think of your friend group, there’s probably that one person who is FUN. I’m talking about that person who will always bring the energy and the party. That’s Jason, and I say this because he wanted to go all out for his session. When I mean all out, I mean eating cupcakes and popping champagne.

Jason’s friends Sabrina and Mallory came along for his shoot. Sabrina was his plus one, a fellow graduate and friend he chose to have photos taken with, and Mallory was their really awesome Junior friend who helped with the shoot by throwing balloons, keeping a watch on supplies while I was walking with Jason, but most of all, she was another cheerleader during his session! Mallory assisted me in setting up a little party picnic on Main Lawn. I brought my St. Edward’s University champagne flukes that I received at various events while I was a student and a flannel blanket for them to sit on. Jason brought blue and gold balloons, big golden balloons that read ‘18’, champagne, and cupcakes from Polkadots Cupcake Factory. I had Jason and Sabrina pop champagne and take sips as I took photos. We were just hanging out and having fun. They then nibbled on the cupcake, and we learned to save this sort of thing for the very end because Jason’s lips and tongue turned blue from the blue fondant and icing.

I would love to know what you think about his session! Feel free to comment below.
