Kat C. | SEU Class of 2018
I love seeing friends support friends. Even before Kat scheduled her session with me, she was already sharing my name with her friends - that’s how I met Rachel K. and that’s how Kat got 10% off her session aiding her in scheduling her session with me. Kat and two of her best friends - Rachel K. and Najwa - were up and ready for Kat’s Saturday morning session. I was impressed to see the three girls coming to campus with Starbucks in hand at 7:30 am. Most of the grads that I’ve done morning sessions with opting out of having a friend involved in their shoot. It was so much fun having Rachel and Najwa there for Kat’s session! The girls were cheerleading Kat all morning.
We went to Kat’s favorite places on campus: The vined columns near the music building because that’s where she knew St. Ed’s is her home and the Campus Ministry gardens.
Kat is one of those overly involved students. Kat is an Honors student as a biology major. Her Honors thesis discusses the human organ market. Kat is the Big Event Coordinator this year; the Big Event is the largest service day at St. Ed’s that is hosted by the Student Government Association. The Coordinator has a team under her/him to help with everything. The Big Event takes students off campus to the surrounding neighborhood and other off city-wide sites to serve our neighbors and give back with various tasks. In the neighborhood, is mostly yard work or cleaning, whatever the person needs. Other sites are local parks where students pick up trash. She was also involved in Campus Ministry by participating in other service projects and going on a Spring Break Experience.
In July, Kat will move to Florida to attend Lecom for med school.
