My last St. Edward’s University graduate for the class of 2018. Nicole joined Rachel K. during her shoot as personal cheerleader and hair checker. I must have impressed Nicole with how I handled Rachel’s session because Nicole asked to grab my final session time! Since her session was a week away, we didn’t get the chance to meet for coffee and talk considering it was during finals week. However, we got to chat during Rachel’s session, so I felt confident going into Nicole’s session.
Nicole transferred to St. Edward’s from a community college in Houston. She was originally supposed to go to the University of Texas, but as she was leaving Austin, she stopped at St. Ed’s to check out the campus; she fell in love with the beauty of the Hilltop. She transferred as a biology major, and now she’s attending Baylor Nursing College. The crazy thing is that Nicole started nursing school the Monday after graduation. So, the Thursday before graduation, Nicole celebrated her birthday, then Saturday was graduation, and Monday she started a whole new chapter of her life in DALLAS. Ya, she also had to move to a new city right after the commencement ceremony.
For Nicole’s session, we focused on the green parts of campus - basically all our gorgeous trees and green scapes - to hone in on why she fell in love with the campus the first place. If you look through her photos, you’ll notice Nicole had three outfit changes. I normally cap it at two for time-sake, but Nicole really wanted to be photographed in her green floral dress. The green floral dress belonged to her mom, and she wore the dress while pregnant with Nicole. I thought it was so sweet that she wanted to surprise her mom with the photos!
