Patrice P. | SEU Class of 2018

My favorite part about taking senior and grad photos is the ability to commemorate a special milestone in someone’s life that reflects who she is in this moment. Patrice took advantage of my philosophy and asked to take photos with her drum set… in front of the Main Building Red Doors. If you’ve seen my work before, you probably noticed a lot of photos in front of the same set of red doors. This is because the Red Doors of Main Building are one of the most iconic symbols that represent St. Edward’s University. They’re used in marketing for the University, and all St. Ed’s students always love to have red door photos taken.

Patrice has taken music classes during her four years at St. Edward’s, focusing on the drums. So, we decided we would set up her drum set in front of the red doors for a few shots. Not going to lie, I thought it was definitely one of the most creative photos I helped in creating for my grads. I had Patrice do different poses and even play her drum set for a little bit! That’s how we quickly learned in the space in front of the red doors, there are amazing acoustics.
