Ubuntu Life is a nonprofit that is run out of Austin benefitting the lives of the children living in Kenya. Their mission is to provide quality education and healthcare for the children specifically working with special needs children. They are able to create a facility for the children and send doctors to Kenya by employing women in the village to create goods and sell them in the state as well as accepting donations.
Their annual gala took place at The Pershing, a private club in Austin’s Eastside. Not going to lie, that place is so gorgeous! It already fit the urban safari feel Ubuntu Life wanted for their gala. With a little decorating with throw pillows, the space was perfect! Live performers from Kenya came and played traditional instruments. Their accessory designer also came from Kenya to sell her newest line. A silent auction was also available for guests to place bids.
It was amazing to hear about a wonderful organization doing amazing things!
